SONS OF CONFEDERATE VETERANS

TEXAS DIVISION

SCV GRAVES REGISTRY

Welcome to the Sons of Confederate Veterans Confederate Graves Registry
This project is dedicated to the memory of George Ballentine, who was one of the first men to recognize the need for a comprehensive searchable database of Confederate Veteran grave sites: CGR

George started the first data collection in the Texas Division, and inspired others to join the team, but crossed over the river before he could finish his work. Others have picked up the colors, and the work continues.

To submit records to the database use this link:
SCV Confederate Grave Registration Form

There is now a way to search for Women or Black Confederates in the CGR. Now an (F) following the surname for the women, and a (B) for the Black Confederates has been entered. A list can be pulled up by merely entering (F) or (B) in the surname cell of Veteran Search at CGR

Tutorial and instructions can be accessed below:

CGR Consistency Instructions

Graves Registry committee members have been advised that Open Office spreadsheet format is
not compatible with Excel spreadsheet format and should not be used to submit data to the CGR.

In conjunction with the Confederate Graves Registry Program, The Texas SCV has developed the Graves Survey Project. Anyone interested in learning a method for systematically gathering Confederate grave data to be included in the CGR can contact texas3rdltcommander@yahoo.com for further information.
